Subḥah: More Than Just Beads, They Whisper Muslim Prayers

Thumbnail

The subḥah, a string of beads (usually 100) used by Muslims, is more than just a counting tool. As fingers brush each bead, Muslims recite prayers and praises to God (Allah). These aren't just religious instruments; they hold cultural significance. Some view them as a symbol of devotion, while others consider them unnecessary. Regardless of perspective, the subḥah whispers a story of faith and tradition. (Unlike Buddhist juzu prayer beads or Christian rosaries, which often have different uses in prayer).
